The 72 Hour Rule

To minimize bleeding and sensitivity, do not take ibuprofen, aspirin, blood thinners, Vitamin E, Biotin, or Fish Oil. Consult your physician before stopping any prescribed medication.

24 Hours Before

  • No Alcohol
  • No Caffeine

Skin Preparation

  • Avoid Retin-A or Retinol products on treatment area.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure; use sunblock.
  • No waxing, tweezing, or threading (3 days prior).
  • No tinting (3 days prior).
  • Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face.

Service Specifics

Eyeliner

No contact lenses (wear glasses). No false eyelashes or extensions.

Lips

If you have a history of cold sores, begin physician-directed antiviral medication one week prior.

Contraindications

Procedures cannot be performed if you are pregnant/nursing, under 18, undergoing chemo, diabetic, using Accutane, or have received Botox in the area within 14 days.

Health Notice: Please do not attend if you are sick (fever, cold, or flu).

Immediate Care (First 24h)

  • Gently blot excess lymph every 5–10 minutes with a clean tissue until oozing stops.
  • Keep the area completely dry for 24 hours.

Cleansing (Days 2–7)

Wash hands, then gently cleanse area twice daily with mild soap and circular motions. Pat dry—do not rub. Apply a paper-thin layer of ointment to dry skin only. Do not exceed 5 days of ointment use.

The 14-Day "Avoid" List

No Sweating/Exercise No Swimming/Saunas No Sun/Tanning No Peels/Facials No Picking/Scratching No Retinol/Acids

Healing Timeline

Complete healing takes 6–8 weeks. Color will appear dark the next day, then light after peeling—this is normal. Final results are only visible after full skin regeneration. Touch-ups are recommended at 6–8 weeks.

Medical Concerns

Contact a physician if you notice: Fever, red streaks, green/yellow discharge, or extreme swelling.
